.. or why I cannot seem to write SEO-friendly posts.
I have been getting a lot of advice about how to improve readership / followship at thenextjew.com. Tease! Flame! Titillate! Crunch those SEO focus keywords! Meta describe!
I write this blog for a variety of reasons – to share, to move the conversation forward, to rant a little, to poke folks in the eye who are deserving of a good poke, to tilt at windmills etc etc.
But unlike folks who want “Jewish continuity” for continuity’s sake, I do not write this blog to garner more readers so I can write more blogposts so I can garner even more blog readers… that is besides the point.
So, as this post title attests, I am playing with twitter-hack teasery to hack and tease so I can say: I gave it a shot. Now can I get on with things?
Thank you for indulging me in this hackery for a minute.
And now back to our regularly scheduled program. And the answer to the snippet preview:
What does Buzzfeed, Twitter, Pinterest, Kate Middleton, Katie Holmes, Mitt Romney and the Next Jew have in common?
In a word: ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.
…which is a couple points lower than Olmert’s approval ratings in 2007 – zing!
