I had initially written this post the day after Gilad Shalit’s release.  It took me some more time before I had the temerity, or as Michelle Bachmann would say, the chootspah to post it.

Fairly soon after the release of Gilad Shalit, a friend began a Facebook-based endeavour to list each of the Palestinian prisoners released by the Netanyahu government and the names of the individuals killed by those now-released prisoners.  I think he stopped at 13 of 1037. Each entry ended with: “If I was a Palestinian, I would be ashamed to have So-and-so as my neighbour” or some variation thereof.

I really did not know then and still do not know now what to make of this tag line.

And because of the ongoing radioactivity of the subject this post is threatening to be contaminated by, I will leave it at that.
